ELENI PELTEKIS, M.A., LPC

Eleni is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Holy Family University. Eleni has spent the last five years working for a non-profit for individuals with intellectual disabilities. She has worked in a variety of therapeutic environments, including residential, inpatient, behavioral health, and outpatient, and has worked with a variety of community mental health agencies. 

 

Her diverse experience includes treating adults and adolescents struggling with: depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, sexuality, emotion regulation, distress tolerance,  trauma, and eating disorders, and she enjoys working with LGBTQ+ clients.  Eleni uses a client-centered, humanistic approach and has experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness Practices, Harm Reduction Techniques and Interventions, and Crisis Interventions. 

 

Eleni is interested in helping people reach their healthy and healing goals and is passionate about teaching others how to live life to its fullest potential. She aims to create an emotionally safe space by building a therapeutic relationship using humor, and warmth and carefully considering cultural concerns and practices. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching TV, hiking, gardening, and spending time with friends, family, and pets.
