Hi, so glad you are here! I am Bailey Marcucci, a NJ and PA Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) hoping to offer you a warm, bright, compassionate, nonjudgmental and safe environment to explore life and it’s obstacles. Working within the human services and mental health field at a variety of levels has allowed me to identify my areas of specialty and strengthen my skills to support clients in discovering their personal goals, identifying their strengths, and navigating their own stories as they unfold. Whether it is your first time in therapy or current stressors/challenges have brought you back, I look forward to being part of your journey.

Educational Background:

After earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Art Therapy and Psychology from Lesley University, I returned to the New Jersey area to pursue a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in art therapy from Caldwell University.

Professional Experience:

I enjoy working with individuals across the lifespan ranging from children to older adults at various developmental stages and with coexisting mental health diagnoses.

My specialties include:

-Neurodevelopmental disorders (attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, learning disabilities, intellectual disability, conduct disorders, cerebral palsy, and impairments in vision and hearing)

-Personality Disorders (Antisocial, Borderline, etc.)

-Mood Disorders (depression, Bipolar)

-Anxiety disorders (including OCD, PTSD, CPTSD)

-Trauma

-Life transitions, career, caretaker stress

-Problematic Sexual behaviors

-Legal and Judicial involvement

Therapeutic Approach:

Utilizing a trauma-informed lens within my work, I invite clients to explore and enhance their skills while holding space for the difficult and challenging aspects of their journey. Incorporating both talk and expressive based approaches within treatment (when possible), I utilize an eclectic approach consisting of person-centered therapy while incorporating elements of CBT, DBT, ACT.

Person-Centered Therapy: the client is the expert in their own life and experiences, and the therapist's role is to facilitate the client's self-exploration and growth.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): a problem-solving approach that focuses on the present and helps individuals develop coping skills and strategies for dealing with specific issues.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT): helps individuals learn skills to manage intense emotions, cope with distress, and improve relationships

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): helps individuals live a meaningful life by accepting difficult thoughts and feelings while committing to actions aligned with their values, rather than trying to control or avoid them.

Art therapy: a mental health profession that uses art-making and creative processes to help individuals express themselves, explore emotions and improve their well-being, often in a therapeutic setting.
