Caroline Swantkoski is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in perinatal mental health trained to provide support to individuals impacted by the unique mental health challenges associated with the childbearing years during pregnancy, postpartum, the transition to parenthood, and beyond. Caroline also works with issues such as family conflict, relationship problems, marital discord, intimacy issues, parenting issues, life transitions, adjustment issues, stress, trauma, and depression and anxiety. Caroline has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, couples/marital, and family therapy.
Caroline is licensed as a marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey and certified in perinatal mental health (PMH-C) by Postpartum Support International and a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapist (AAMFT). Caroline earned her Master's Degree from Holy Family University in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. In her over 13 years working in the mental health field, she has worked in a variety of therapeutic settings such as inpatient/residential, outpatient/private practice, and community mental health agencies. Caroline has extensive experience and training providing intensive in-home therapy to families of children struggling with emotional and behavioral difficulties.
Caroline strives to create a genuine, collaborative, and non-judgmental atmosphere in therapy. Caroline has a passion for her clinical work, perinatal and maternal mental health, connecting with others, and the importance of having support during life's challenges. Caroline believes in the innate strength and resiliency of people and feels honored to support her clients. She uses an integrative approach to therapy tailored to meet each client’s needs and goals; including systemic approaches, interpersonal psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, strengths based, and solution focused.
